Superfood Cilantro Lime Taco Dressing

A great taco is already filled with a variety of colourful, nutritious foods, but the real flavour comes from a perfectly crafted sauce. What better way to top if off than with a sauce supercharged with greens. Not only are you getting all the flavour of a zesty cilantro lime dressing, you’re getting all the natural health benefits of organic spirulina, broccoli sprouts, and chia seeds, just to name a few!

PRO TIP: Add the liquid to a condiment squeeze bottle. It’s a great way to get just the right amount on your taco!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 6 green onions
  • 2 cups fresh cilantro, stems included
  • 2 jalapeno peppers
  • 2 tsp lime zest
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 scoop Vegan greens+ O
  • 1/3 cup water
  • salt & pepper to taste

 

Directions:

  • In a blender, add the olive oil, cumin, and coriander. Do not combine yet.
  • Chop the green onions, cilantro, and jalapeños. Add to the oil and spices.
  • Zest and juice the lemon. Peel the avocado. Add to the blender.
  • Add 1 scoop of Genuine Health Vegan Greens+ O and combine.
  • Blend until the colour resembles a solid green, without any large chunks. Don’t heat the mixture.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • If it’s too thick, add up to 1/3 cup water and combine until you have a consistency you like.
